LearnZillion and Front Row Lessons
Are you struggling with positive and negative fractions and decimals and locating them on the number line? There several videos on LearnZillion to help you out. There are also lessons on Front Row. When you log into Front Row, choose The Number System section. Remember we are working on Ratios and Proportions, The Number System or Numbers in Base Ten.

Module 2, Lesson 3 Group Work and Videos
*On Monday, we will have a quiz on Module 2, Lessons 1 & 2. Please come prepared!
Below you will see the products of our group work from Module 2, Lesson 2. Scholars had to work in table groups to complete problems and create a poster. They then met with another group that had the same problem. Each group explained how they arrived at their answers. Next the groups presented the opposite group's poster. It was a great learning experience for all of the scholars! Below are links to videos going over Module 2, Lesson 2.

We started Module 2 today in Math! We are working with Number Systems and currently we are dividing with fractions. All scholars have been assigned the Lessons on Learn Zillion that go with the standard we are on. In addition please watch the videos that are linked below to help you better understand the concept.

Think Different Person of the Week and Ratios Activities!
Think Different!
This week our Think Different person is Jane Goodall. Research about Jane Goodall to see how she made a difference in our world. You may also want to look up her foundation and visit the website! Come to class on Thursday with your research and be ready to discuss Jane Goodall.

Complete Lessons on Quill and Front Row by Friday
Every scholar needs to log-on to www.Quill.org and complete the 3 lessons I have assigned by Friday, September 12, 2014. The link to Quill is to the right. Remember you have your log-in information on your card. The scholar's username is your scholar's name combined with our class code: dry-circle. For example John Smith would be John.Smith@dry-circle. All three lessons are on the standard: 1.1b. Use Common, Proper, and Possessive Nouns.
Every scholar also needs to log-on to Front Row and make sure they have completed all of the Ratios and Proportional Relationships lessons by this Friday, September 12, 2014. We are nearing our district Benchmark and the math section will be on Ratios and Proportional Relationships.

Math with Ratios!
Today in math we learned how to take a ratio table, equation, or double number line diagram to create ordered pairs. These ordered pairs can then be graphed on a coordinate plane as a representation of the ratio. Please go onto Learn Zillion and do the lessons I have assigned to help you with today's lesson.
