4. AR Reading log, signed is due Friday
5. Math Exit Tickets/Sheets will be due the following day they are given (there should be 1 per night)
6. Informational Brochure or Poster (scholar's choice and I gave every scholar the paper for the project) about the history of the penny is due Friday, please refer to the Evaluation of the Penny activity we completed Monday in class if you have questions.

Think Different Person of the Week and Ratios Activities!

Think Different!

This week our Think Different person is Jane Goodall.  Research about Jane Goodall to see how she made a difference in our world.  You may also want to look up her foundation and visit the website! Come to class on Thursday with your research and be ready to discuss Jane Goodall.

Ratios Activities

Today I sent home a sheet with your scholar that has two different Ratios activities.  These are for you to complete with them at home.  This is a great way to interact with your child and help reinforce the skills we are learning in class.

Think Different Person of the Week!

Our Think Different Person this week is Ansel Adams.  Please research him and come to class prepared for our discussion on Thursday, September 4, 2014.  Know the major contributions he made to his field and why people say he thought different. You should have written or typed notes for our discussion.

1. ELA Homework Packet (Parent signature needed)
2. AR reading log - 20 minutes per night Monday-Thursday (parent signature needed)
3. Think It Through if not finished in class
4. Come up with your Passion Project question for Genius Hour (due Wednesday Aug. 20th)
5. Math Fluency paper (one side)
6. Any unfinished work
7. Research your new Think Different Person - Dalai Lama - Due Monday, August 25th!

3. Watch the 2 new videos assigned on Learn Zillion by Sunday, August 17th.  

4. Research our next "Think Different" people - Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.  We will discuss them on Tuesday, 12, 2014.  Come to class prepared to discuss their contributions.

*AR reading log needs to be signed DAILY.
*Agendas must be signed by an adult every week by Friday!

Homework packets for ELA and AR reading logs were sent home on Friday, August 1st. 

*AR reading log needs to be signed EVERY night and brought to school EVERY morning.  Parents need to sign the reading log DAILY.

*Your math exit ticket is due every day if not completed in class.

* Activate your Learn Zillion account and watch the 2 videos assigned to you on Learn Zillion by Sunday, August 3rd.
* Research next week's Think Different Person, James Watson.  Be prepared for a class discussion on Monday!
