The Grand Coulee Dam

We are currently working on argumentative writings in sixth grade.  We have been learning about The Grand Coulee Dam for one of these writings.  Many scholars have asked about the history of The Grand Coulee Dam.  Below you will find a link to the website the government has for the history of The Grand Coulee Dam.

Ratio Games

Today your scholar brought home a sheet that has 2 different Ratio games on it.  Please take some time this weekend to play these games with them to help reinforce the skills we are working on.

Your scholar also has a copy of their Geography study guide.  Please help them memorize the highlighted states on their study guide.  Their quiz is Friday, September 26, 2014.

Social Studies - Early Man

In Social Studies we are studying Early Man.  The link below is to a website called Flocabulary.  As they point out, "Early humans could not read books, but they could read something else: tracks." The link below takes you to a funny song that follows the rise of early humans. "From cave paintings and fire to irrigation and civilization, learn about humans’ first steps toward civilization here."
